Shared print programs develop criteria for which titles their member libraries will be asked to retain on behalf of the program. Most commonly, this criteria is developed following a careful analysis of the participating libraries’ print collections.  Libraries participating in Retention in Place agreements, agree to hold those titles in their library for a specified number of years, they are not sent to a shared location.
